Employment statistics for people with special needs

People with disabilities want to work and participate in their communities. There are barriers that include a lack of understanding and fear in the business community about hiring people with disabilities. A study by the DuPont shows that people with disabilities have a higher performance rating, work harder, and have an above average attendance record.

Unemployment among people with disabilities is as high at 80% in some countries.
